Sean and Liz Kuttner opened the doors of Kutthaus Fitness with the goal to provide a place for the members of this community to have a safe and effective workout, guided by professionals in the physical therapy field. Our other passion here at Kutthaus is to positively impact local organizations through raising awareness and donating whatever is needed.
Sean and Liz met in Hawaii when they were both working at a rehabilitation hospital. Sean specialized in treating individuals following spinal cord injury. Liz worked with individuals recovering from strokes and traumatic brain injuries.
Prior to their serendipitous meeting on the island, Sean earned his second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, served our nation’s military in the Army, received his associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and found his love for functional movement exercises. Liz received her doctorate in physical therapy with additional certifications in brain injury care, neurological conditions, and nutrition coaching. Sean introduced Liz to functional movement training, which lit her passion for this type of exercise – allowing them both to see the benefit, not only for the clients they worked with, but for every body.
Here in Grand Junction, Sean and Liz are enjoying every minute spent at Kutthaus, getting to know their members, meeting new people, and challenging their bodies with the crazy workouts (especially Saturday!). Outside of the gym, they love spending time with their 2 dogs, Steak and Potato.

Alexa first gained an interest in fitness when she was 6 months postpartum with her second child. This newfound enthusiasm led to seek more knowledge, which she now shares with others who may be at similar stage in life.
Alexa believes that fitness can be anything you want it to be, and, most importantly, it can be fun. With personal experience in both the physical and mental aspects of a weight loss transformation, she is dedicated to supporting others on their own journey.
